WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE SOCIAL GOOD FUND AS OUR FISCAL SPONSOR?

Social Good Fund is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  

Hubs & Routes is not.

Hubs & Routes is a Model A project of Social Good Fund.

Because we are under Social Good Fund's "umbrella,"

•       we can qualify for grants that are offered to non-profit groups;

•       donations made to Hubs & Routes can lead to tax deductions for donors; and

•     Social Good Fund assists us to meet the legal requirements on nonprofit projects.

In exchange for these benefits, we

•       pay fees to Social Good Fund

•        follow Social Good Fund's rules

•      mention SGF in our publicity and on our products

•      use Social Good Fund's forms and procedures.

   

The rules are many, so until you have them memorized, please get into the habit of checking the relevant part of the Handbook and/or checking with the Project Director or Office Coordination Team before you commit Hubs & Routes to any action.
